Perfect for smaller displacement engine applications that need to run high boost pressures and other vehicle applications that require smaller turbocharger compressor housings due to engine bay packaging constraints, the Hurricane Series delivers exceptional spool-up and boost response with the optional Turbonetics patented Ceramic Ball Bearing (CBB) and high pressure compressor housing combination.
The Hurricane 6665-3 (Code Name: Ashley) is the second turbocharger in our Hurricane series. Our Hurricane Series turbochargers focus on packing our highest flowing compressor and turbine wheels into a compact unit for vehicles with space constraint issues that need big airflow to meet their horespower goals. The 6665 utilizes a 66mm compressor wheel within a traditional 60 series compressor cover. This uniquely packaged compressor configuration is married with a T4 turbine wheel (F1-65) stuffed into a standard mount T3 turbine housing to provide 500 to 600 HP worth of air and large pressure ratio potential in an extremely flexible package. The unique combination of a T4 turbine wheel within a T3 turbine housing allows for vehicles that need to absolutely reduce backpressure but maintain a T3 turbine flange and housing size for tight packaging within the system. This turbo is ideal for all out power 4 cylinders and most 6 cylinder and smaller displacement 8 cylinder engines. Available in either a standard beaing or Turbonetics patented ceramic ball bearing configuration.
