Precision Rebuild Kits Now Available for Standard Shaft Journal Bearing Turbos
We’re excited to offer a quality kit designed for standard shaft Precision Journal Bearing Turbochargers. These kits are compatible with most Precision Journal Bearing models ranging from 55mm to 62mm, and select 67mm units.
To confirm fitment for your 67mm turbo, you’ll need to measure the turbine shaft diameter. The standard shaft size is 0.25 inches. If your shaft is stepped, measure at the step where the compressor wheel seats onto the turbine shaft. If your turbo has the 0.25" shaft diameter and uses a journal bearing, this rebuild kit is a match.
The Precision rebuild kit shaft nut TQ spec:
- We highly suggest 2 drops of red Loctite
- 28 inch pounds (not foot pounds)
- If it is standard right hand thread an additional 1/4 of a turn; If it is reverse left hand thread then an additional 1/8 of a turn
Also, always, torque it this way, then loosen it up and do the procedure one more time, just to make sure you got all of the slack out the first time and everything seats.
